Hi,
I heard about the group on TFA, The Freshwater Aquarium group on Google, so
I thought I'd stop in. I've had a few small ponds for several years;
nothing fancy, but quite enjoyable. Just wanted to say hello & I'm sure
I'll be enjoying this group, as well.

==================
Hi Dan, welcome to the group. I enjoy my small 150g ponds as much as I
enjoy my 2000g pond. :-) Actually I started with a small 150g inground
kiddy-pool, and grew from there.

$1.95 for a 100 g package, Kintoto label.
Usual price was $3.95. Maybe it was last
year's supply?
I only use that (or TetraPonds) once or
twice a week, and not much. Mostly the
goldfish feed on vegetation and insects.
I'm also going to give them some freeze-
dried foods, as you recommended.

Hello! I'm so glad we have a moderated group now - I've been missing the
old rec.ponds, it's really a shame that just a few nuts can mess up so much
for so many for so long!
My little 1000 gallon concrete pond (that I painfully constructed myself,
and of course as soon as I finished it and filled it wished it was at least
2000 gallons) will complete its 7th year in several months. The fish are
doing fine, I'm getting ready to put some plants in now and actually had
some parrot feather overwinter OK.
Good to see many familiar names back on board!

This already feels like the old rec.ponds. Just in time for spring, and
my begging for toads in Bawlmer. :)

Ha! You want toads? I can give you toads! All the Fowler's Toads you
want - but then you won't get any sleep! Instead of the musical trill of
the American Toad, Fowler's Toad sounds like a cricket on crack:

Scroll down near the bottom to play a .wav sound file of these sleep
destroyers. I'll send them to you in a heartbeat!
Happy Ponding,

Great website, our treefrogs sound a lot like the Mtn. Tree Frog on this
