My front lawn has a small wooden surround in the corner, that is about 3 feet wide by 2 feet across. I am looking to plant something in it just to take the bare look off the lawn. The garden is very small, prob 12 feet by 15 feet in a square shape, with the corner having the small wooden surround.

There is currently only stones in the surround, there was a type of big plant it it but I pulled it out as it was brown and pretty much dead.

So I am hoping someone can give me some ideas on what to plant in this corner. Perhaps some sort of evergreen shrub? I have no clue about soil types but the lawn is south facing. Should I put in a couple of shrubs or just one?

Some suggestions would be great! Thanks
