Gardenia Question

I have a large potted gardenia tree and I would like to move it out of the
greenhouse for the summer, but I am not sure how much sun it can
tolerate...any help would be appreciated.

I grew up in South Florida where gardenias grow outside year round. They do
fine in full sun.
