Hi There,

I am newbie in this area, just moved to Apex from Westcoast. I have some
questions
regarding lanscaping, yardwork around my new house:

- Where can buy dirt or soil to level my back yard?
- Any Farm out there that I can trees, shrubs?
- where to rent rototiller?

Sprinkler system: I would like to setup sprinkler system front of my house
by myself. Do I
need permits from City of Apex? Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you in advance,

Mi

You will find there is a big difference between fill dirt (eg clay, sticks,
rocks, etc) and topsoil. Some "topsoil" sold is similar to fill dirt.
Ask and look before you buy.

?? Broadwells.

Home Depot in Fuquay-Varina (since you're new here - it's Few-quay Var-een-uh)
has tool rental. Check the Yellow pages.

From http://www.ci.apex.nc.us/depts/const/faqs.cfm#7
When is a permit required?
Typical construction projects requiring permits and inspections include: room
additions; decks; roofs over decks; swimming pools greater than 42” deep;
finishing basements; bonus rooms and attics; lawn irrigation systems;
accessory buildings (see next paragraph); all installations or modifications
to electrical, plumbing, or heating or air conditioning systems. For more
information please contact the Building Inspection Permit Office. (919)
