I have a choko vine growing on a wire trellis against the northern brick
wall of my house in Brisbane.
It is going well, growing strongly every day, but the lower leaves are going
brown around the edges and that spreads until the leaf dies.
The growing ends of the vine are going strongly but the older parts are
looking sick and bare.
Does anyone have any idea about how to stop the leaf browning problem.

g'day leftred,
i would be expecting it to be going dormant about now or pretty soon,
they die for the winter. if you are lucky and mulch the ground very
heavily to keep the soil warm and moist the same vine could return
next summer.

Thanks Len. I had the idea that they grew all year in Brisbane. Will try
again in the spring.
