Reminder to self
Reminds me of the avid photographer. He went to photograph Halleys
comet, and didnt put film in his camera. He went on the rest of his life saying similar. I must put film in my camera I must put film in my camera. etc el infinitum.... Too bad he worked at Kodak Melbourne. He got free film too..... He let the cat out of the bag at work and , not being able to stand the ribbing from fellow workers, applied to retire within 4 weeks. Too bad were are all human..... So tell us about it David...despite out differences.... (Said the sadist NO!) They should bolt, and stay online (computerese) till end of summer... Where am I? Anyone hazard a guess? On 4/02/2010 5:40 PM, David Hare-Scott wrote: I must cut zucchinis daily no matter what. Mine's gone 10m in one direction and 15m in the other and it's growing what seems to be billions of watermelons! We've already culled quite a few of them, but you can almost detect the vine growing. Each morning, it seems to have added another couple of feet in every direction! Is it likely to pick up my dunny and cart it away???? PS. I should have a similar mantra. "I must harvest Purple King climbing beans daily..." They get very stringy when they are more than half a thumbnail wide. -- Anne Chambers South Australia anne dot chambers at bigpond dot com David Hare-Scott wrote: I must cut zucchinis daily no matter what. |

Maybe the dunny is attracting them? PS. The melons are *gorgeous*: sweet and juicy as can be. That's downright subversive, that is! My husband doesn't need to know this small factoid about watermelons and I will be Vigilant that he doesn't eat too much of the stuff. For his own well-being, you understand... ;- FWIW, me dear old Mum ate watermelon rind when she was a tot and nearly died of ulcerative colitis caused, as the doctors said, by the 'chemicals' in the rind. -- Trish Brown {|:-} Newcastle, NSW, Australia |

Is it likely to pick up my dunny and cart it away???? No for that you need pumpkins. Well the pumpkins were planted the week after the melons and already they're having an unnatural relationship in the middle of the bed! I can't untwine them: they've knotted themselves together in what looks like a Turk's Head Knot! My dunny is a heritage item, you know: it has wall-to-wall air-conditioning and a determined list to the left. It's been host to numerous blue-tongues, black snakes and Miss Redbacks over the years. In fact, we sort of hoped the pumpkin might hold it together for a few years longer before we'll need to replace it. I hate to destroy the ... je ne sais quoi? ... of an heritage building. Y'know? I really envy you all that horse poo. Hope you've been giving the lads the odd apple or carrot by way of thanks? -- Trish Brown {|:-} Newcastle, NSW, Australia |
