I've been told that a 100:1 dilution sprayed on a lawn will slow down its growth without killing it. True or false?

I don't know but as they say on fabric cleanser bottles, if in doubt test on
an inconspicuous area first.

False. I made a mistake once of cleaning out some spray gear on a lawn after I had used
Roundup. There was a large dead patch a week later.

I agree with above comments, it is nasty stuff, made by a nastier company.
Having said that, it does work though, leaving the turf a 'sick green' but not killing it. Not ideal at all.
