Default weedy mossy invaders

the top soil of our bonsai pots seem to be constantly infested with really
tough difficult to get rid of 'weedy mossy' type stuff. we have tried
growing moss, but these invaders seem tougher than the moss and still take
over.

what is a good way to discourage all this stuff growing in the pots, please
?
