Default Insect populations 2002

In 2001 there were large numbers of lady bugs released here in S.W.
Ontario.
During the 2002 season all those "plant eating bugs" were virtually
non-existant.
The only thing I found was red spider mites.
No aphids, scale or eastern saw-fly larvae on pine.
