Just setting up a second 10 imp gallon (45ltr) tank for community tropical.
Main tank uses Jewel power filter. What type of filter would people recommend for this second small tank? |

Just setting up a second 10 imp gallon (45ltr) tank for community tropical. Main tank uses Jewel power filter. What type of filter would people recommend for this second small tank? I have been using a Penguin Bio-Wheel Mini http://www.marineland.com/products/c...uinfilters.asp for several years in my 10G (US) mini tank and I've absolutely no complaints. Never a problem, never a sound. But I don't know if they're available overseas... -- Bill H. [my "reply to" address is real] www.necka.net Molon Labe! |

I second bill's recommendation, biowheels rule! I have been using a
biowheel pro 60 (overkill in my case) on my 15 gallon tank and have never had ammonia, nitrite, nitrate problems with it. I have had an incredibly successful tank in my living room which uses a biowheel pro 60 on a 55 gallon tank. Man - I get tons of fancy guppies in that tank! I even have a biowheel pro 60 lowered into a shallow tank containing turtles and have had no water quality issues since. Go biowheel - you'll love it! Later! |
