But unless the sowing is done on an essentially sterile surface, how does he differentiate between wanted plants and weed seedlings? That's why, conventionally, sowing is done in monoculture strips, for thinning later. It is easy to distinguish between the wanted plants and the weeds. -- Jeff |

It is easy to distinguish between the wanted plants and the weeds. in my established gardens there are only a few kinds of weed seeds and not very many of those if i keep them up. it really isn't hard to distinguish a wanted plant from the weeds, especially after you've grown them to know what they look like as seedlings. p.s. thanks for reminder, i need to thin the beets... songbird |
