What's causing this on my hosta plants? See pic. - 102_0230.jpg (0/1)

If any one knows what's causing this on the edges of the leaves on my
hosta plants, I sure would appreciate knowing and what to do about it.
These plants are in a north facing location and this problem happens
every year. Thanks!
