Default Propagating Platanus occidentalis via cuttings

Has anyone attempted to propagate the American Sycamore by using
cuttings from the limbs or roots? There is a very large Sycamore that
I planted nearly 20 years ago that needs to be removed (due to
hurricane damage) and I would like to transplant it to a new locacion
using cuttings if its possible.

Thanks.
