Default New Pond Water Advice

Hi,

I am in the process of digging a new pond and hope to have it finished shortly. I have 3 buts of rainwater in the garden and wondered if I would be better using these to fill the pond or "tapwater" or a mixture of both? Can anyone help?

Thanks
