Went out to pull some of the fallen Oak
and Maple leaves off the roses and found some
blooms--Simply Marvelous, Distant Drums, and
a rather soggy but still openable Don Juan--
for the table.

To my surprise, SM was full of bright green
aphids!! Where did these things go when the
temps were in the 30s?! It was in the 80s
last week and is rather warm today.
