Default PH worry

I've got a take with a Ph of around 6.4...

The water is about 70% RO water so its pretty soft water in the
tank...its been treated with Prime and has NO ammonia/nitrite...

I just put 6-10 plants in it...Will they make it at a Ph of 6.4? What
about Co2 addition...It appears this will lower the Ph and I dont think
I need it any lower..

Anyone want to educate me here on this...I am shooting for a well
planted tank with
some community fish...Whats a good Ph ? What range?

Thanks

What is your Ph at? Will the plants use up some of the co2 in the water and
thus raise the ph? Is 6.4 safe for plants and fish alike?

Thanks

Local water here is hard and nasty. Although plants like it, sof****er fish
do not. My water is:

100% RO (no tap water)
2 teaspoons Kent RO right per 20 gallon water change (GH)
1 teaspoon baking soda per 20 gallon water change (KH)

Plants grow like crazy, except Vals.

Bottom line: soft water is fine, but don't soften it just for you plants!
They like it hard.
