Default Leucophyllum pruinosum 'Thunder Cloud'

Can anyone share any experience with this species/cultivar? My
research suggests it's the shortest of the cenizos, growing only to
3'. Drainage is said to be especially critical width this species, so
I'm thinking I might amend the soil with crushed granite gravel and
mound plant. Does this species grow even more slowly than L.
frutescens, and does it flower as readily?
