Default Black walnut fruits wanted

Hi urg! Thank you all who previously responded.

I shall re-iterate;

I am looking to obtain the fruits of a Black walnut tree.
I am willing to collect & pay for them.
I live in the Bolton area, Lancashire

I do not know when the fruits are ready to harvest, probably after summer.

I would be most grateful for any offers.

Thanks in advance.

I live in the Bolton area too. Have you tried speaking to the Countryside
Rangers at some of the local nature areas? Jumbles Reservoir, for example,
has a little office hut thing there with a nature display inside, and there
are Rangers on site. Thy might be able to help you. The Bolton Metro
website has contact details for the Rangers.

Regards

I have about 2 dozen but I am in the U.S. Not going to help you much. Some
catalog companies here offer small trees for sale. Then you will be waiting
for a long time before you get any walnuts. Do you know anyone who travels
back and forth from Canada or the U.S. and where you are?

Just had a thought. When I was stationed in Goose Bay, Labrador there were
always some English Vulcan pilots there who flew to Omaha regularly. My
wife would ask them to pick up some "Twinkies" for her in Omaha and bring
them back to Goose Bay. Maybe you could ask one of them to pick you up
some.

Good luck. Dwayne

I suggest you remind us when they are in season, late summer/autumn
time.

You will find them on the ground under the trees in Sept, Oct, and Nov,
depending on where you are. In our Southern states they don't fall till
later (I have picked them up in Arkansas and Oklahoma in November). I cant
tell you when they fall in Canada. We are now in Kansas, and I haven't
looked for any here yet, because we visit relatives and friends in the South
in Oct and Nov. Sorry I cant be of more help.

Dwayne
