Thanks Highfield Nurseries, Whitminster, Gloucestershire, have never let us down over 30 years of buying from them, both when we lived in Gloucestershire and now we live in Scotland. They have a pretty good range, too. www.highfield-nurseries.co.uk Also Scotts of Merriott, though I haven't ordered from them since they set up their website, Reads, and Rogers. Rogers and Scotts for number of apple varieties. http://www.scottsnurseries.co.uk/ http://www.rvroger.co.uk/ http://www.readsnursery.co.uk/ -- Kay |

Thanks I bought bare-root apples etc. from Victoriana nurseries this time last year and found them a pleasure to deal with. http://www.victoriananursery.co.uk They also sell beautiful children's spades. I only found them because Keepers nurseries (+ some others) wouldn't ship to Ireland (although Keepers answered me promptly and politely, to be fair to them.) I ended up spending £165 with Victoriana that time (and can't understand why some other nurseries won't even quote me a price for shipping over here.) Hope this helps. |

It makes for an interesting visit, knowledgeable and helpful staff who are really keen to sell you the right tree for the right conditions. Judith |

I've had excellent service from Keepers Nursery (google it), who have the widest range of varieties of any commercial nursery in the country. I have also visited it for its tasting weekend. But you have to reserve things, which are sent out just once a year, and you will find this late in the year that they have sold out of many things already.
