Can anyone give me s ome advice about over wintering onions?
Variety, time to plant, general information.

I suggest you should try growing Senshyu and/or Radar from sets rather
than seeds. Plant in mid/late autumn.

Yes, don't bother. They crop about two weeks before normal onions, don't
store well, and you lose some over winter anyway.
