Default Sources of rhubarb varietes please?

I am loooking for a source of rhubarb plants or rhizomes in the UK. In
France (where they are going to end up, if I can find some) all I can
find is "rhubarb" but I know it is possible to find different varieties
with different characteristics.
Ideally I would find a specialist nursery with a web site and lots of
information to help me choose maybe 4-6 different sorts to try.
Any advice - either on sources of plants, sorces of information, or
types to look for / grow will be gratefullly received!
Thanks

RHS Wisley and I think, Harlow Carr hold the national collections for
rhubarb (Rheum species).
Try contacting them directly or the ususal sources, eg Ken Muir, ART,
etc.. there is a URG list of supplier on the web (probably under 'fruit)

Edwin Tucker & Sons Ltd 2004 catalogue offers seeds of Glaskins
Perpetual (early) and Victoria (maincrop) Rhubarb.
It also offers crowns of Timperley Early (early forcing) and mini-crowns
of Glaskins and Victoria - in limited supply.

Thank you all for your help. I have contacted Ken Muir and he has two
named varieties, Buckinham had two others, and Edwin Tucker had three.

Unfortunately I think I might get addicted to Ken Muir's nursery.
It's very conveniently located for me and I already have a list of
about a dozen items - this search for rhubarb is going to cost me a
fortune! grin

The rhubarbinfo site was interesting too but it focused (as far as I
could see) on the US market. Great for information tho'

Thanks again!

Have to say that NAt Collections may be your best bet if you are looking
for the widest range.. Information found via http://www.nccpg.com/

The actual holders should be able to supply you with good, detailed
information on the cultivars as well.

Let me know when y've grown up a few cultivars in a year or so and I
might fancy some divisions;-)

Thank you very much for the after-sales service Jim, much appreciated.
I have emailed Harrogate - hopefully as you say I will have a wider
selection, plus perhaps some expert advice!!

Which bit of the UK are you in? I'm thinking of the divisions ....

I'm in London,.. though have 'points of contact' in Manchester &
Guildford!-)

However no rush.. if you happen to remember me when your rhubarb crowns
have grown on a lot and need dividing then I'm sure post during the
winter season would suffice.
