I tried hollyhocks from seed. I even get two that bloomed. However,
the tortose that wanders in my garden walked up to each plant and kept
walking, knocking the plant down. She then turn around and started
eating the flowers and the tender tip of the shoot. She eliminated five
of my six thrift (sea pinks). So far, she ignores the foxglove and
columbine.

That gives a whole new meaning to the term "crash and grab". Maybe you
can install some crash pillars like they put in front of stores
like Best Buy and similar ;-)

And a big kudos for putting up with her!
