We had a rabbit problem on our allotment site so all erected
anti-rabbit fences which worked providing the gate was tight and
secure. You had to ensure the perimeter was clear of weeds so you
could
see if they were trying to dig under the wire which we buried 6 inches
down.
They tend to dig down immediately adjacent to the netting, so turn the
buried edge outwards to give an 'L' shape before burying it. Stops
them digging under it.
Quite right, however you can't do that between allotments and you have
to net your own plot as you can't rely on others to ensure it's
secure.
