Default Red Curants

Seem to have a large crop that had started to ripen, although a little
small. Then I noticed that a few at the back of the plant (out of the
sun ) had gone pale brown! Examination showed that they were very red on
one side and it was almost as if the skin had split and turned brown.
Scan of the internet has revealed nothing. Any one any ideas what it
could be? Should I remove all the damaged fruits? (others in the cluster
are OK).

Will try and take a photo somehow later today and post it if needs be.

Thanks
