The trouble is in "when you notice hedgehog activity" as the only time I
see any activity is when they come for food, so a bit circular.

Could someone who does see hedgehog activity in roughly this area post
when they see hedgehogs are active again, please?


They typically hibernate from late November until it starts to warm up
in the spring. They make a nest in my fern garden or in the hedge most
years so I deliberately don't tidy it up until they have gone.

They might venture out on the odd unusually warm day but they won't
really get going again until March - or later if it stays cold.
