Crown vetch was commonly used as a roadside cover... It was a bad
mistake, it is highly invasive. See:

There are a lot of "vetches". Just be careful collecting along the
roadside and which one you're getting

That said you can just order/buy Common Vetch (Vicia sativa) seed:
