Default Red leafy plant ID please

Alternathera reineckii
it is a true aquatic plant that requires bright light and iron rich substrate.

Can anyone help me ID this plant? It comes in large red variegated
stems, and fails to root before my pleco has ripped it to ribbons,
so I guess it's not a true aquatic?

It came as part of an unlabelled collection.
