Well they do..all that sweat makes them taste wonderful :-). But also,
you're tasting really fresh, natural vegetables the way they are meant
to be, a completely different experience from eating shop veg... which
have been grown for uniformity and stamina, then put through an assault
course; machine picked, transported, sorted, washed,dried, sprayed,
packed, transported some more, bunged on the shelves, into a trolley,
through a checkout, and into and out of the car boot.

Just wait till you taste your own strawberries or tomatoes just picked
and still warm from the sun; or lettuce that was growing until five
minutes earlier; or peas so sweet and tender they really don't need
cooking, or sweetcorn that wasn't picked until the water came to the
boil, or raw onions that drip juice, or....

Just wait :-)
