Carl, The Koi dealer I go to has alot of fish one time and next to none the
next, due to sales. So maybe thats what is going on where you went. But the
dealer I use also filters through two large systems into one pond. But I was
told after the pond is stablized it is a sort of rule 100 gallons per Koi.
But I'm new also, only telling you what I was told. The bigger the area the
bigger they grow, so I've been told. Good Luck. Kc

The reason I ask is that I see so many different claims, and then I go
see a koi breeder and they have 20 big ones in 1000 gallons (30+
inches). And 50 or more in 750 gallon setups...
