I just wish that someone had a more exact rendition of the one
above---I'm curious whether I'm really in Zone 10b or 11. I suppose
in my case it doesn't make a lot of difference, however.

Hmmm ... I am pretty sure you are in 10-something. I am not even sure
that it is 10b, might even be 10a, no?

It all depends on the year, I suppose g.

Probably so! I'm going by minimum temperatures in my neighborhood; one of
my favorite tools is my Taylor maximum-minimum thermometer. I haven't
seen it go below 39 degrees here in mid-Wilshire Los Angeles, but there
are variations just a few miles away, where 10a would be a more
appropriate designation.

Oh! It would be lovely if you can see the Heritage in its Spring Glory
in the Spring in Guadelupe Park festival, usually at the end of April.
Many of the Tea roses will be in bloom then, and even most of the
Bourbons and some of the OGRs.

Worth a try. Thanks for the tip!

It's also a comfort to know that there are other folks even more
obsessive about roses than I am....

It is always good to know that if one is mad, there is a large group of
other nuts with whom one can hang out.

Exactly so!
