Default Preserving and drying orchids.

Hi! Folks,

Some folks have inquired about drying and preserving roses according
to a recent google search. For those of you that would like to do
this kind of thing... orchids dry great! I dried entire spikes of
Dendrobium orchids in a roaster pan of silica gel and placed it in a
food dryer at 100 degrees for three days and they came out beautiful.
You can protect and seal them with a gloss or a matte finish of Krylon
acrylic spray (do not use water-based sprays on dried flowers).

We had even made and sold, commercially, beautiful tiny orchid pins.
Always bring interesting comments from folks. This kind of thing is
easy to do yourself, and adds a new dimension to the orchid hobby.
