Default Timperley Early - very early

6 inch stalks already on an unknown variety in sub-tropical London, but the
2 inches of manure over the top of the crowns may have helped. Outside all
the time but not very much in the way of frost due to warm winter and
sheltered location.

Very tempted to have a taste this weekend..

Hello All,

I have a crop of rhubarb already, the crowns popped up at the end of
January, got frost bitten, so I dragged the rhubarb pot into the
conservatory (unheated).

Now the plant has 1 1/2' stalks. It's only the end of February!!

Is it ready for harvest and safe to eat?

Thanks

Jon
