Can anyone help,I was repotting my camellia and I found loads of what

looked
like small round yellow beads they looked hard but when I pressed them

they
broke like an egg and were wet inside Iv'e never seem anything like this
before can anyone enlighten me
TIA Chris

I think they may be slugs eggs.

Yes - or snail eggs.

No - definitely slow release fertiliser. Make an almost satisfying pop
when pressed. Slug and snail eggs are softer, and slimy and sticky when
popped, which you will do deliberately one or fewer times.
