Hi there,
I've found a huge stack of old slate roof tiles in the corner of my
shed and was wondering if they could be of any use in the garden ? I
am all for recycling and thought perhaps they could be put to use as
some kind of decorative mulch. Is this a feasible idea ? Perhaps
someone could suggest other practical garden uses for the tiles. I
would appreciate any imaginative solutions !
Thanks very much.

Uncle.

Sell them on eBay!

But get them valued first. Seriously! I remember a London builder offering
to take an Edwardian fireplace out of my daughter's house as a 'favour' to
her. She asked my advice which was 1. never remove original features from a
house, 2. sack the builder (who did indeed turn out to be crooked) and 3.
check the price of such a fireplace at an antique reclamation yard. She had
a shock!
