Question Can you name my plant?

Hi everyone

Ive been given a pant and i really don't know what it is. Unfortunately Ive not got a camera at the moment but i will hope to get an answer.

The actual leaves grow separate to the flower. There are 3 dark purple leaves on one tube. They have a silky quality to them and don't feel as waxy as some other leaves. They are almost a sham rock shaped leaf with the top being fairly wide.

The leaves are all on stalks. These are like 3mm thick white tubes. Really thin. The tubes then go down under the soil.
When a new petal comes up the new tube grows out of the soil up and then hangs over the pot as if its like a spider plant creating a new head for growth.

There is a separate flower to the plant from the leaves. This comes up out of the soil like the heads but grows on a much thinner tube about 1mm. This is much shorter at the moment and its more sturdy only growing up. The flower is also relatively small and a nice light pink colour. Also other buds grow on the same stalk.

Now during the day the leaves on the plant open up like an umbrella. They become flat upend up. Then during the nigh the leaves a flat to the stalk and hang down to then pen up again the next day.

I'm really looking for a name so i can find out the care instructions because as the tubes get longer the leaves seem to be shrivelling up a bit.

Thanks for any help.
