Default permaculture course in wales

REACT is running a 72 hour Permaculture Design Course on weekends from
May 10th to June 22nd 2003. This unique course is the first of its
kind to be run in Cardiff. The course is free, with free childcare

Themes of the course will include:
growing food in cities - a stake in our futures

beyond recycling towards energy cycling

globalisation? a bioregional perspective

community regeneration & lifestyle choices

the problem is the solution—a lateral look at design problems

On successful completion of the course participants will be awarded a
Permaculture Designers Certificate. Participants are then encouraged
to go on and develop their own projects and take up the Permaculture
Design Diploma, which is designed to take into account hands on
experience in the community.

The lead tutor, Michele Fitzsimmons, is a permaculture designer and
consultant who has been involved in numerous permaculture projects
involving local communities and schools in South Wales. She has run a
variety of permaculture courses, workshops & presentations.

The support tutor, Ken Moon, is founder of the Homegrown Allotment
Project. Ken's teaching experience is varied and includes running the
healthy living course at Grassroots City Centre Youth Project.

The course can take a maximum of 20 participants. If you wish to be
included on the course it is important that you register your interest
as soon as possible with one of the contacts given at the end.
