Aenenome Blanda damage

Can anyone advise me as to what has happened to my aenenome blanda bulbs since last Spring when they were excellent. They have been left in the same shallow pots outside all summer . In two pots the bulbs have completely disappeared and in another only one or two remain. However I have noticed that there are a few tiny "worms" in the pot about 10mm long and 1mm thick.
Any advice would be of help.

I would think that the worms are probably incidental. Anemone blanda needs adampish cool Summer resting period. They would not be happy in a shallow plant pot where they could get too hot and dry out. Or, get too wet and rot.
The corms need to be planted 3 inches deep in dappled shade.
