Ok, i'm in southwest Victoria and i am after an exploded view of my mower,
the foreward friction disk thingo sticks and i have to nudge the foreward/reverse pedal to get it to unstick. i am suspecting not enough lube on the axle and perhaps a worn return spring that returns the small cork disk to the centre of the axle, also from the pedal to the rear axle, all the linkages seem to be sloppy, wondering the best way to fix this. AND the correct way to disassemble and reinstall the back axle and all associated parts on it. Thanks Gary "Gary Smith" wrote in message ... g'day gary,
you should be able to go to greenfield and secure a parts manual for your mower that will show you exploded view and how things come apart for me if you have mechanical expertise and lay things out as you take them off you then put them back together in the reverse order only hiccup is if you might need a puller to remove a bearing?? or if you can't figure how to get it off without a puller, pullers available from tool shops. should also be a workshop manual available but and exploded parts list will help heaps, i ahve done them a long time ago so can't remember what i did, for me i like and recomment rider mowers with a gear box or speed selection system in my days as mechanic those tap and goes have heaps of problems especially some greenfiled models with their belts. snipped With peace and brightest of blessings, len -- "Be Content With What You Have And May You Find Serenity and Tranquillity In A World That You May Not Understand." http://www.users.bigpond.com/gardenlen1 |
