Jacaranda Tree

Hi,

I'd like to put a Jacaranda Tree in my backyard, the garden bed it
would go in is 6m x 2.8m with colourbond fence one side and surrounded
by a limestone wall. Is this big enough or will the roots cause
problems in the future?

Thanks
Stuart

No, and yes.

Really you need to define "future"
Jacarandas can get to be big old tree a few (3M
) across the trunk. Of course their roots spread wider.

OTOH, any constructed wall is liable to crack over time with soil movement.

So, probably it would not be a problem in your life time.

A mature jacaranda will reach 10m x 10m. The roots will spread more widely
than that, and if they don't, the plant may fall over in a high wind.
