Default Disguising an old aviary concrete pad

I have a concrete pad, 19 sq metres. I have investigated getting it
chopped up and concrete removed, but it's all getting too hard!!
One thought I had was to attach a ledge around the edge, cover the
concrete with pebbles/gravel and use to display feature type plants in
pots.
Any other suggestionsor advice most appreciated

Sounds like a good size for a decent shadehouse

Turn it into a BBQ area?
Or as you said, but make it more a relaxing area. With a seat, or even water
feature would be real nice.
The idea of the pebbles sounds good though

Default Disguising an old aviary concrete pad

i had an old concrete slab (where a garage used to stand). knowing that i
wouldn't be able to break it up i attached railway sleepers/railroad ties to
the concrete slab and then lay decking across, attaching them to the sleepers
around the perimeter as well as the ones in the middle. made a really nice,
slightly raised deck.
