Camellia advice
first off, it wasn't flowering, ie the buds stayed buds then dropped off, so i gave it a bucketful of epsom salts and charlie carp, etc. it flowered! then the top of the plant started to die, absolutely going dry, with lots of new growth low down and spreading out sideways. when i read up it suggested that - i shouldnt have planted cornflowers underneath it (which i thought was protecting the roots from too much sun) and that non-budding can be a virus disease from which the plant doesn't recover. also on the old growth there is some form of crusty spots that look like an insect. should i keep spraying with pyrethrum? should i move the cornflowers gently now and put cowpoo mulch over the soil and feed it camellia food? any help would be greatly appreciated. -- ::::~~~~rOOth~~~~:::: |
