Default tomatoes

I would like to know any organic ways to protect tomatoes from fruit fly.

There aren't any that are 100% successful. This is what I do:

- plant my tomatoes early (we tend to only see fruit fly here in January)
- check for infected tomatoes every day, and put them in plastic bags which
get left in the sun a few days before they go into the rubbish bin.
- spray occasionally with pyrethrum
