How to keep Indian minors away from the house

These birds are cheeky and make a lot of mess near the house and shelter on
furniture under the pergola.
Any suggestions?

I was going to say "get a cat". except mine just went outside and the
noise started and then i remembered that minahs gather in large groups
to terrorise cats.

Next step might be to get a bird scarer...you know, one of those
things that you can string up high so it looks like a predatory bird?
it might work..
