Amused by this article reporting how Australian dogs discovered they can get themselves "high" by carefully sampling a cane toad's toxin. I expected to find it was published on April 1, but not so. Maybe these Qld mutts were just following their owner's bad example? Nature is bizarre. Makes me think of this article about how goldfish produce ethanol: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/now-we-know-how-goldfish-produce-alcohol-180964502/
Who would have thought? |
