leaf blower recommendation
 

I would like to buy a petrol leaf blower for use around the house. It would
not be used a great deal, mainly for blowing grass clippings off the the
paths after mowing, and a few leaves blown in by the wind. I do have an
electric blower which needs a long extension cord, and therefore is not
really practical for the front yard.

Any recommendations appreciated.

I hate it when people blow their crap out onto the road. It's not like
councils send their road cleaners out to much. No wonder people end up with
everyone elses weeds in their lawn. Is no better than littering. I have a
blower but like to get things in a corner so it can be picked up. On
occassion to blow leaves off lawns into garden beds at least you end up with
decent leaf litter.

I'm interested too - shoulder surgery means a broom is out for me for the next few months.
I need one that can be started one-handed with one pull!

Avoid the Talon brand at all costs!

I am currently using a Ryobi, it isn't too bad, but, if money is no option buy a Honda four stroke. Nice and quiet. Echo are also
very good. I had one but it was stolen.

best suggestion i can give you is to go to a specialist mower shop and
independent dealer and talk quality machine ie.,. stihl, echo,
whatever, not sure if honda have one but look at husqvarana also.

I'm with Loosecannon, it's also one of my pet peeves.

People that are too lazy to pick up their own rubbish and just blow it onto the street.

If you use a besom broom it should be used flat against the ground not upright as most people think.

It is fast, cheap, quiet, environmentally friendly and saves a trip down to the gym.

It is also good for getting worm casts off a lawn.
