A fifty percent chance of more rain?
Improving chance of rain, says weather bureau
Wednesday, 23/06/2010 The weather bureau has revised its forecast, to increase the likelihood of rain across Australia over the next few months. A month ago, there was only a 30 to 40 per cent chance of getting more rain than normal. Now the bureau's latest season outlook says it's about a 50 per cent chance, or 65 per cent if you live in north Queensland. The weather bureau says it's down to a changing climate and shifting seasons, noting that for eastern Australia the last 13 Mays in a row have had below average rainfall. Why dont they just say they dont know. A fifty percent chance is either way... They could say "we have no idea". |
