Palm and Cycad Societies of Australia
2003 Annual Show

Weekend 22/23 February
9 am - 4 pm

Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens Auditorium, Brisbane

Features :-
Australia's largest selection of common and rare palms and cycads for sale,
both plants and seeds. Displays of native and exotic palms and cycads.
Bookstore
Educational displays.
Membership.
Food and refreshments.
Admission: Adults - $2.00
Children - Freeeeeeee

Annual Show Dinner
Dinner Guest Speaker : Bill Baker, from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
Bill is a systematic botanist specialising in palms with a special interest
in the palm flora of South-East Asia, especially New Guinea. Members of the
IPS will be aware of Bill's many contributions to the journal Palms. Bill
last visited Australia in 2001, and presented a paper on "The Palms of New
Guinea" at the 5th International Flora Melesiana Symposium held at the Royal
Botanic Gardens, Sydney.
Please contact Rudy Meyer (Ph 07 3264 7289) to express your interest, and be
placed on the mailing list.
