How to get rid of gekko, little skinks in the house

Hi,

I live in Brisbane, I have 3 crawly pests that I want to get rid of:

1) a gekko that deposit large sticky poos on an external sink
2) a little black skink with poos behind the piano and in the spare bathroom
3) a large black skink in the garage with poos all over the
entrance.

I also have many small ourside skinks and a small gekko
upstair being sighted once.

Any suggestion from getting them out of the house or trapping or poisoning
will be most welcome.

Ling

they are posting in alt.pest.help asking how to get rid of a big nuisance
humanoid that makes a stink in the main bathroom, crashes around and gives
them the shits too.
Be happy you have some little critters to eat the insects & stuff in your
home. Get flyscreens & they will go away by themselves when the food supply
goes away.

I have to agree with Jock. They are great for keeping the insect population
down especially the mozzies and crickets. We have them all over the place
here, we also have many 20c sized frogs. The little eyes peering out from
behind the toilet cistern can be a bit off putting at times. I have stopped
using toilet products because I didn't want to poison them. I would rather
clean up a few (OK many) droppings. Flyscreens etc definitely do not seem
to stop them.
From talking to others in the town that are less tolerant, it would seem
that there is little you can do to deter them once they choose your house.

I have to agree as well. Ling, learn to live with nature and enjoy our
friendly local critters.

Clean your house so the left over food sources are cleaned up and you will
have less critters hanging around.

Hope this helps,
Peter

you mean you want to poison gekkos and lizards?
Why don't you insulate your house instead so they can't
come inside. How big can lizard poo be anyway...??

just leave them, it's their environment too.

I also live in Brisbane, and our house is full of little critters, and our
lard even more so. I think one of the great things about Brissie is the
abundance of wildlife in the suburbs. Just enjoy their presence. It
becomes very rewarding.

But, unfortunately, I have no tolerance of snakes in the house. In the yard
and under the house, on verandahs, all OK, but definitely not in the house.
