Default KIlling Wisteria.... is this the right way?

I have cut it all back down to ground level and was going to spray with
round up when it begins to grow new shoots in the spring
is this going to work ?
Thanks

Save roundup and $$$ by brushing the roundup on. Try 5% (vol) solution
for starters. Do it on a hot day/warm afternoon, so it gets taken into
roots. Best solution would have been to pain the root stem when you cut
it back (if it was leafy at the time = juices flowing).
