Staghorns

Rescued some small staghorns from bushland at work that was being bulldozed.
I know it may be illegal, but hey, at least they are saved.
Anyway, looking for some good advice on caring for them, right from how to
mount them on an old log, to looking after them, to best position in regards
to sun.
Any tips, or links leading to websites would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

Staghorns

yep andrew,

you generally need a permit to collect native plants, so keep it to
yourself.

i would tie them to wahtever you want to use as a backing and remember
they are going to grow quiet large, when you mount them use some humus
or leaf mulch behind them give them a good watering and keep the well
watered as being small they can dry out quickly. put them in a well
lit out of the wind spot when they settle in then you can move them to
where you want prefferably not full sun. i use panty hose to tie them
with as this eventually will rot away after the plant has attached
itself.

you can tie them directly to any tree you may want them on they can be
taken down at anytime and moved should you sell or whatever.
